Mars
Mars
March 6, 2023
Mars, originally an agricultural god of Rome but later their war god, was worshipped in two ways: with a sacrifice in the temple, and with the formal assembly on the Campus Martius of Rome's original four legions at the start of the war season.
Today, in ritual alone and with others, reaffirm the principles for which you will fight, and the means by which you will fight. Practice martial arts, play at fighting, and resolve conflicts with 'duels' as appropriate.

Feast of All Heras
Feast of All Heras
March 7, 2023
Hera, queen of the gods and wife-sister of Zeus, was the goddess of marriage, and of midwives, childbirth, child-rearing, and the bedroom. The pomegranate and peacock were her symbols, and Hephaestus — the god of all arts and crafts — was her son. In myth, she is remembered as a woman often ignored, but in truth she was the only one who could persuade Zeus to act.
Today is a good day for planning gardens, for making beds, and for communicating with your spouse about future plans, especially having and educating children. Cook at home, celebrate family, and make love.

Return of the Goddess
Return of the Goddess
March 25, 2023
Persephone was originally the goddess of flowers, but after Hades kidnapped her she became the queen of the underworld. Thanks to a deal between Zeus and her mother Demeter, she spends half of every year in the realm of the dead, and half in the mortal world. Among many modern pagans, she is an archetype for BDSM relationships: half in the darkness and half in the light.
Today marks her return to the world of the living. It is a day for playful sensuality, celebrating the return of life to the world, and the joys of motherhood. In ritual alone and with others, notice transitions: the return of spring, children to youth, youth to adulthood, and the maturation of relationships.
